Winners for Week #7 of our Shore Coaches Association Performer of the Week presented by New Balance are Kathleen Shay of Middletown South High School and Troy Hill of Christian Brothers Academy!!
Kathleen Shay of Middletown South had a breakthrough race at last week’s Shore Conference Championships hosted at Ocean County Park. Racing to a 5K PR, her time of 18:08 placed her 6th overall in what was a loaded field. Paired up with teammate @maddiebrannd_, Shay and the Lady Eagles captured the 2017 Shore Conference team crown.
Troy Hill of CBA announced his arrival on the NJ XC scene with an absolutely monumental effort at last week’s Shore Conference Championships. Running a 5K PR by a full minute, the sophomore captured 4th place overall in a time of 15:19, and helped CBA capture their 16th consecutive Shore Conference team title. Teamed up with teammates @lukereid44, @ryanmiele and brother @bchill5k, Troy makes it four Colts in the last four weeks to be named STCA Performer of the Week.
